Digital Gammasphere has 12 VME crates named VME01 through VME11, plus "VME32". "VME32" is the trigger crate. When you look at the racks you see what appear to be one VME crate in the top of the right-hand rack and three VME crates in the left-hand rack. Each of these crates is actually three separate 7-slot backplanes with a common power supply.

So, VME01, VME02 and VME03 are the three backplanes in the crate in the top of the right-side relay rack. An Excel spreadsheet describing this is found at File:DGS crate mapping.xlsx
