Summary

In April 2021 after switching the cryopump power from emergency to regular power after the switch gear testing cycle the Touch Panel (or HMI) did not boot and displayed the boot screen followed by a flashing cursor, see image https://anl.box.com/s/45fzhe5nie31xg5qucq04wlc4r44a97o.

Some further investigation revealed that the unit was corrupted and was not seeing the network so any recovery method was eliminated.

We contacted RI who recommended replacing the unit and re-image with the original image file, they supplied this file and the step-by-step instructions on how to do this re-image process.

We did find out that the image is very specific to, not only the pump build but also to the Touch Panel version number. We had to remove the Touch Panel from the mount and case to get access to the back panel https://anl.box.com/s/zk70n0994cxv0o30rb7nezfmwdcnlkm0.
