The Slope Box Extension (SBX) unit contains a power board and pickoff card along with an optional Raspberry Pi computer. These electronics replace ALL of the functionality of the VXI system while providing additional utilities that were previously unavailable. The R-Pi contains an EPICS database allowing users to read and write PVs:

  • The Slope Box for detector controls and monitoring (HV, Temps, etc.)
  • The SBX Pickoff for control of signal processing functions (DC offset, gain range, Preamp Reset Clamping, etc.)
